Delete your account
This closes your Othiri account for good and takes you out of the app. It is not the same as wiping your data — here is exactly what happens, and what we keep.
Your profile stops being shown
Your profile, photos and prompts leave the app immediately. Nobody can find you, see you or open a chat with you.
Matches and chats end
Your matches are undone and your conversations stop being delivered, so the people you were talking to no longer see the chat.
Signed out everywhere
Every session is revoked, on every device, at once.
ID and verification images are erased
If you ever submitted a government ID or a verification selfie, the images and the ID number are deleted for real — both from our database and from disk.
Everything else is kept, not wiped
Your account is closed rather than erased: the records, including your photo files and past messages, stay on our servers in that closed state. We keep them for safety, fraud and legal reasons.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting the account does NOT stop a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the Play Store first, or it keeps billing you.
You cannot undo it yourself
There is no way to reopen the account from the app, and signing up again starts a brand-new profile. Email contact@othiri.com if you deleted it by mistake.
Only need a break? Pause your profile for 7, 14 or 30 days, or turn on Incognito Mode, from Settings in the app — both hide you without closing anything.
